BENEFITS OF WAITING ON GOD

Matthew 6:16-18"And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on a dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already.vs 17"But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face,vs18"So that your fasting may not be noticed by men but by your Father, Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open

1)Revelational light/insight gained (Isa. 58:8)
2)Access to Divine health  (Isa. 58:8, 40:31)
3)Divine speed and acceleration (Isa. 40:31):

4)Renewing of suppernatural strength vs 31

5)To generate and develop  Rugged faith to deal with the impossible (Matthew.17:19-21"Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

6)we fast and pray when we have a special need, when we need a spiritual breakthrough, when we are seeking revival.Isaiah  38:1-5" In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.  38:2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
