Every new year is characterised by certain things including new Resolutions.
A new year gives us an opportunity to redefine our priority(the word priority is from the root word scale. Meaning to weigh in a balance or scale of preference to know which is of uttermost importance).
Every beginning of the year offers an opportunity to redefine our purpose, asisgnment and essence of existence.( The question is ,are we still on course for what we were created for?)It's important to take stock once in a while to be reassured we are on course.

The practice of making New Year's resolutions goes back over 3,000 years to the ancient Babylonians. There is just something about the start of a new year that gives us the feeling of a fresh start and a new beginning. In reality, there is no difference between December 31 and January 1. Nothing mystical occurs at midnight on December 31..it's just the happiness of a new dawn. When an individual determine to make a New Year's resolution, what kind of resolution should he or she make?
