CHAMPIONS AND SCAR Part 1

Most renowned boxers  have lost either their teeth or disfigured some part of their bodies all to gain championship. Champions like John L. Sullivan 1882-1892, Jess Willard 1915-1919, Jack Starkey 1932-1933 and in the late 70's the WBA witnessed men like Michael Shrink's, Muhammad Ali, Michael Dokes, Mike Tyson, Evander Holy Field and even our own Samuel Peter, etc. The error of our modern time has been people criticizing anyone having challenging times especially in the body of Christ.

In the year 2008, I lost my mother in law to the cold hands of death. The day we returned from the burial I met the first shocker; someone took advantage of our absence to break into my house and made away with valuables. Same day at noon, my kids sister in my care was reported almost dead. The best we could do was to take her to a hospital outside the local government area where they resided etc. Couple of hours later, a supposedly close person sent a message across; asking me to check my spiritual life/stand, because the challenges to her were product of unconfessed sin.

Up Next (Part 2): We shall examine a biblical character that emerged as champion yet with scars and then you will get a better picture of "No championship without a scar.
