WHY SOME CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PROSPEROUS

Five years ago he gave his life to Jesus Christ, devoted and dedicated to the service of God and infact have won many souls into the kingdom but then the prosperity life is still having a question mark. He felt bad following Jesus with no prove when he looked at his friends who are still in the world. Quickly he remembered “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you” but then these things are yet to be added he thought. Maybe patience is all he need was the follow up thought. Facing the reality of life, he will remain in this state if certain things are not activated or deactivated. That brings us to the reasons why some Christians are yet to experience prosperity.
• Ignorance: Some Christians believe to be prosperous or wealthy is a sin and so you hear them quote “The love of money is the root of all evil” forgetting that “Money answers all things”. Even our creator had a wish for His creation – I wish above all things that thou will prosper and be in good health even as thy soul prospers. This simply shows prosperity as our birthright because we cannot have a rich father (God) and remain poor as His child.
• The Law of Giving: This is one simple law that even the unbelievers obey and it works. The scripture says “Give and it shall be given unto you… pressed down, shaken and running over…” Now look at the reward of just giving which is like planting a maize seed and reaping more seeds. Until you start giving to humanity, the service of God and not the devil, the prosperity line will still be far.
• Start Small: This is becoming an issue where you see a believer refusing to start small but wants to get to the top very fast and so shouts all the amen in church, claim all the prophecies and still go back home folding his/her hands and waiting for the big miracle to happen. While waiting please remember “Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might” Paul told Timothy don’t allow anyone despise thy youth. Yes, you are still selling groundnut, continue with it till you grow to owning a shop, supermarket, and maybe own branches all over the country. Just start small and grow.
• Dedication to Service: While other people resume work by 7am you will resume by 10am with the believe that when it’s time for God to bless you He will bless you. It does not work that way, be dedicated to what you are doing so that when promotion comes you receive it. Costumers don’t come to your shop because you resume work by 10am when others resume by 7am and you think you can fly like they do?
• Learning: Some persons have refused to update with the current trend of technology and still expect to be prosperous. You don’t attend seminars, workshops and other training sessions to gain more knowledge and improve in order to gain the prosperity. You stopped at primary 6 and you have no plan of going forward and will console yourself by singing “All must be well…” It will not be well if you don’t equip yourself. When others are using laptops to type and print, you are still using typewriter and you expect to have customers, others have gone digital to using a machine to detect the fault of a car in less than five minutes and you need to take the whole day to scatter the car and still cannot find the fault and you think the person will visit your shop again?
Men whole have built for themselves big names and are prosperous/wealthy today started small, they never gave up with the dedication to service, still learning everyday but then the prayer should not be ignored while keeping the above. Remember, watch and pray as well as faith without work is dead. While believing that you will make it one day, get to work. God help us in Jesus name, Amen.
