Have you ever noticed there is something peculiar with those who exist with a grateful heart? What do you notice if I may ask? Well, it’s simple. They keep going easily even in the middle of the storm, a grateful heart places the enemies in a confused state and thus setting you as a victor. A case study is David; Job as well is a perfect example. Even in the middle of the storm where many would have given up on themselves and even God but he was still grateful and hopeful and we all know the later end of Job in the scripture. Most times we desire to be like others, we envy the rich, we want to be rich, etc.
Yes, it is good to be rich because we have a rich God but when the riches come will you still remember God and be grateful to Him or you will attribute the riches to your strength. We are commanded to give thanks to God in every circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18-Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].).
Now let’s look at one real life situation that will make you appreciate God the more; there exist a very rich man who was able to afford everything in this life, eat everything he wants in this life but guess what the Doctor said due to his health condition he must not eat vegetables as well as meat and the water he drinks is specially treated. Now is that a complete life? Take a look at yourself, you eat everything you find, go to anywhere you want to without fear or physical guard, etc and you still feel God is not good to you. Change such a mindset and have a grateful heart.
