A difficult task it was with queen Esther who made a very harsh decision alongside the three Hebrew brethren who decided to die in the midst of the storm with a knowledge of what they are doing. It’s often said that it is better to die for something that to die for nothing and if that must happen then there must be an understanding of the action taken. Christianity is not having faith or denominations as her problem but knowledge. The bible said “My people perish for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6”. In another section it was reported that someone understood by books what was to happen and remember the king who could not sleep and ordered that books be brought for him to read… There is a saying that if you want to hide something from a black man hide it inside a book for he will never read it. However, if this appears to be real then the black race is in doom. But we see more of the blacks excelling in the land of the whites. Our emphasis here is knowledge; the major reason we are where we are is not because God is not answering our prayers but we lack knowledge of what we are doing or what we want. Imagine if your father is Bishop Oyedepo and you are praying for God to provide school fee for you. It’s not correct because the said father can do that if you know who your father is. Another scene is you praying for money to buy food when you have #10,000 in your bank account, for crying out loud that prayer is answered if you pick up your ATM card and work to the ATM and do justice to it.
Similarly, our nation is facing the same challenge as we are yet to have knowledge of our problems and seek for solutions. We have enough oil here, we sell it raw at a cheaper rate and buy the refined one at an expensive rate. Now what if we refine it ourselves and use it? Our world need people who still have understanding of where we are heading to as well as where we are coming from so as to solve the problems of our immediate world. We will still remain where we are until we get the knowledge. Remember knowledge is power and if you have that power then you can act the way Queen Esther did and say “If I perish, I perish.
