From the story of John 2:1-11. There is a very important message christ passes to us on how we can be prepared for his provision, now let's look at the story chronologically. Firstly Jesus and his disciples were invited for a wedding feast at Cannan and they all went, at the wedding they was a disturbing issue, the wine just finished and the Governor has not drank nor members of the high table and the wedding ceremony just began. Then came Christ's mom beckoning on him to do something to save the situation but Jesus knew deep down that the moment was not right so he therefore waited for the perfect minute. We all know how he asked them to fill large pots with waters and he asked them to draw and they drew and presented to the Governor and lo and behold it was the best wine that has ever been presented in the the feast.
We all need God's provision and they are 3 vital lessons I'll love to share from the story above. First verse 2 states 2Jesus also was invited with His disciples to the wedding(AMP). So from the context the first step to be prepared for God's provision is inviting him, we cannot gain God's provision except we invite him into our lives by first recognizing him as our Lord and saviour and then inviting him into our situation, allowing him to take control and give him the seat of control our Lives.
Secondly from from verse 7 and 8 it states 7"Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. So they filled them up to the brim.
8Then He said to them, Draw some out now and take it to the manager of the feast [to the one presiding, the superintendent of the banquet]. So they took him some". The next step for us to be prepared for God's provision is believing, some times God may speak to our hearts or through a servants or any appointed vessel and we seem not to believe. For us to receive this prosperity we need to believe every word he says trusting and obeying it will all our hearts, except we do so we may not get the providing hand of God we seek.
Lastly in verse in verse 4 he said 4Jesus said to her, [[a]Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? [What do we have in common? Leave it to Me.] My time (hour to act) has not yet come.(A). Jesus knew it wasn't time to save the situation so it seemed like he payed a deaf ear but no he did not, he was preparing for the perfect time, Gods ordained time. This tells us that everyone and situation has a time, when the timing is right for your miracle nothing on earth and in hell can stop it and you'll experience God's massive provision in your life, Amen.
